You can partially blame Rock Band: The Beatles. From what I've seen, the game is a failure because they don't make money from it. Acutally, I don't think they make a profit on any Rock Band games. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't feel like supporting my claim. Someone help me out.
The only thing you need online for is to sync up the trophies so people online can see what trophies you have. You don't need to do that if you don't want people to see what you have.
If they did this with the PS3, I'm pretty sure the same thing would have happened. People like when things are less expensive. It might have swayed people who were on the fence to finally get one.
If you shop at Wal-Mart frequently, it's like $100 off the system. A very good deal, if you ask me.

I think people will buy the 360 version over the PS3 version because of Live/Controller/Achievements. Not because of some screenshots from websites that don't know what the f they are doing.
The first game was pretty funny. I haven't gotten around to playing this one, but I can tell they definitely improved the graphics. This game looks so much better than Ben There, Dan That. Maybe now is a good time to pick it up.
